Can you please tell me your opinions on AVerDVD EZMaker? It's only $50 and captures in MPEG2!

The card is a simple BT8x8 capture card, that will give you good quality video. However, you need a powerful PC to handle the processing because the encoding is done in software. You can also use the card with generic VFW and WDM drivers, and free software like Virtualdub and VirtualVCR. The audio is captured with your sound card.
I have not tried the Neo DVD capture and encoder software, but I believe the capture formats are limited (DVD at 5Mb/sec only). However, you can also use other software like Ulead to capture. The capture card is almost identical to the Cybermail BT878 card (or Osprey 100).
