Hey there,
Been going through posts after posts about capture cards and I can't seem to settle on one to buy. Lots of people talk about Haupagge 150 and 250 but they are discontinued. I looked on Haupagge's website and they have the 1600, 1800 and 2250.
I want to convert home video tapes to DVD as a gift to my in-laws for their 50th birthday. They have a lot of VHS tapes and some betamax tapes. I have a working Betamax player and a VHS player although they are not top quality, they work. I'll try and see what the output is like when I get my card and I might get a JVC with a built in TBC if I really need too but I'd like to avoid that.
So here's the questions:
1- What card should I buy, I'd prefer PCI as they are cheaper and they have more functionality for the same price tag(that's what I read somewhere in this forum)
2- The card that you propose to me, can they capture the signal from my betamax player ?
Suggest me a card that is still in production and readily available plz, I'd like to have a warranty with it.
THX a LOT !!
