    I've just started a new job where I have to convert files of about 18-20GB (in DV-PAL) to fit on a dvd.
    I've done a bit of converting to mpeg before but it comes out really poor quality. The stuff I'm converting is about 90 mins long.

    I have an i-mac with a superdrive and a powerbook G4 and about 500Gb of hard disk space which is filling up quick at 20GB a movie.

    I have i-dvd and something called media cleaner but am pretty new to converting files so be gentle with me.

    Any help would be greatly received,

    a few words of advice... DONT USE IDVD--- worst software ever for dvd authoring-
