Your question is a little vague since you do not mention connection to a PC or the use of firewire, USB, AV cables etc.
Having said that, even if you do hook up the camera to PC via firewire, you cannot access the Memory Stick from the PC.
Firewire is for video feeds only.
Obviously the camera is able to view, delete and capture still images on the meory stick.
In terms of your subject: "can i put data on my memory stick through my camera?" - you can capture still images from another video source using the AV cables.
In terms of your question "is there a way i can see the contents of my memory stick and add files to my memory stick using my camera?" - Yes, you can see the contents of your Memory Stick. Yes you can add files to you memory stick, but only in the form of recording an image from tape as a still image.
In summary - buy an external card reader. They're cheap, and as easy to use as a floppy."speed's just a question of money. How fast can you go?" - Mad Max, 1979
