Last Thursday I successfully installed the new Motorola cable modem sent to me by ATT Broadband. On Monday when I got home from work I had no Internet connection and the computer had rebooted after a power cut sometime that day. I also had an error message saying
" error loading c:\ Program Files\Common..\Toolbar CNBabe.dll"
I assume this arose from an earlier removal of a Program called Common Toolbar and I hadn't reebooted since. Anyway long story short, after multiple calls to ATT and one to Motorola the problem remains. Apparently Windows XP is automatically creating a default IP address that the signal from ATT through the modem is not able to access. Also after an Internet search for CNBabe.dll I found a site that proclaimed that you must not uninstall Common Toolbar without exiting both Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer which I'm not sure I did. Could this have caused my problem. Anyone have any ideas before I have to pay $50 for an ATT technician to come out to my home.![]()
