    I'm real close to buying the Sony 500A (when I can find someone with stock besides Sony) but I can't find anyone that has the black for my Dell. Sony says it has a silver and Dell has taken there version off their site. Sony says it has no plans on making black.
    Anyone have a secret source or other suggestion?

    There are companies that do custom paintjobs for people. Or go to the store & get black spraypaint or a magic marker

    Silver and black could be cool ... unless you live in Denver, or Kansas City, or San Diego, or ...

    I got my DRU-500A from Dell - it's white with a silver door. BTW, my machine is beige and sits under my desk so the different color doesn't bother me.
