is your HardDisk formatted in NTFS ???
Otherwise DVDDecrypter will split into smaller sections -
Hello,
So far, I have decrypted a 7.7GB movie to only 1 ISO image. (Of course my partitions are NTFS)
Please, please,
How exactly, should the settings be adjusted in Decrypter in order to make 2 ISO images to be burnt into 2 DVD-Rs?
Would the second ISO image have all the necessary files to play on a Pioneer 434 standalone dvd player?
Thank you. -
judgement day to copy a dvd9 to 2 dvd r i use dvd x copy and has worked for me everytime but for single layer i use dvd decrypter dvd5 rip in iso burn in iso works great for me hope this helped

hey,
it isn't possible to have the structure of the DVD intact if you split the iso image over two discs like that.
you can use ifo edit or dvd x copy to do what you want to do. -
yea if the movie is under 4.7G use DVD decrypter to pir and burn but if it is over 4.7G use dvdxcopy

Thanks for replying. I can do the dvd5 movies very well using decrypter ver 3.1.4.0.
Now for dvd9 movies I'm still in the learnig curve. So far, I have backed up about 5 movies. I even managed to burn some movies so they can start from title 1 bypassing all the stuff that is at the begining of the dvd movie. You know the FBI warning, menu and other trash. I just like the movie by it self. The second DVD starts exactly after the first one left. This is amazing!
So, I guess I could use DVDXCOPY and work with the 2 directories that dvdxcopy creates before burning. Is this how you use dvdxcopy?
Can I use the dvdxcopy beta version (1.0.625) to try this?
Thanks for you info. -

I understand now why I can not split an ISO image in 2 workable DVD-R movies. Just disc 1 works fine. The second disc doesn't work.
What version of dvdxcopy do you have?
Do you know if the version 1.0.625 beta works fine to just work with the 2 directories before the dvdxcopy burning step?
Thank you.
I don't want anything at the beginning of the movie. I just want to backup the movie by itself. I don't care if I use 2 DVD-Rs. I get them for 0.60 cents each. -
I don't personally use DVDXCOPY I was just saying that it is one solution.
I use the www.ifoedit.com guide for splitting DVD-9 to 2 DVD-5 discs
I am sure you can find everything you need there.
As far as DVDXCOPY goes, Derrow is pretty much the brains behind it and he developed ifoedit which does the job good enough for meBesides that, ifoedit is free, although you have to learn how to use it correctly. Once learned it is a very powerful tool indeed!

dvdxcopy it spilts the disk then it rips the first half then ask u to burn it thenyou put the oridinal movie back in rip the second half then burn it and it also scans the disk to see if just the movie will fit on one disk and it will ask you if u want just the movie on 1 dvd make sure u have nero 5.5.9.17 because it uses its burning engine
-
Yes, I have Nero 55917 and DVDXCOPY beta. Would the dvdxcopy beta version do what you are saying?
Thank you. -
judgementday,
The beta version will split the disc however:
1) You do not have control on where the split occurs. I backed-up Lilo & Stitch with it.. The movie has 30 chapters and it split it at chapter 29! That means everything fit on disc 1 except for the last 2 minutes and the credits. The new version for purchase allows you to split where you want.
2) The beta version does not use the Nero engine. It uses the Gear engine. Selective use of either the 'built-in' (Gear) or Nero engine is in the current production version.
