Sony TRV50 has "analog-to-digital conversion with pass-through" function. Does any one know the quality of converted DV? Is the video quality better that video captured by AIW pro 128? Is the "pass-through" function easy to use?
Thanks,
Kinlun Yu

I am afraid that I can't speak specifically on the sony, but I have the AIW Radeon 32 DDR and a new Cannon ZR40 with analog passthrough, and I prefer to go the DV route over the capture.
Capture quality is quite good in the AIW, but performance seems to be better in the DV route. -
I have the AIW 128 and the Sony TRV-25 and I much prefer to use my Sony TRV-25 to capture. All I got with the AIW 128 was dropped frames and out of sync problems. No such problems with DV. DV is certainly one of the better options.
