  1. I recently downloaded a video file with *.divx (not *.avi). I tried to convert them into a vcd with tmpgenc but it kept saying "unsupported file".

It plays in the standard divx player.

Can someone please explain how i could convert this file to a vcd as i haven't been able to find an answer on the website.

    Thx
    P.

  4. did you actually try this:

that does not work try to change the codec reader settings in TMPGEnc under Option->Environmental settings->VFAPI plug-in and right click on the DirectShow Multimedia File Reader and increase the priority to 1 or 2 and try open the video.
    It usually fixes these problems!!

Also, try opening the file in gspot and see what codec info it gives.

Another option is to use frameserving, see the guides for details on how to do this.
