Once all disk and driver issues are conquered, and you have a fast CPU, it's actually very good! Not on "highest quality" setting, but slightly under that, with motion estimation at 90-something (there's no computer system made today which supports their "best" quality setting)...
Most people are put off by either ATI driver issues, or capturing with anything but MMC. But the hardware itself is actually quite nice!
