  1. I got a couple of divx movies from when divx players and divx movies where on sale,but can anybody tell me how to play them and also convert them?

    That was a circut city failed attempt at pay perview dvd

    You basically hooked up your dvd player to a telephone line and everytime you put the disc in you would have to pay for it.

    The concept sounded good at first because you could buy the movie off the shelf for under 5 bucks and bring it home and watch it as many times as you could for the first 48 hours after the first time you watched it. Then you could add unlimited viewing for around 15-20 dollars. essentially you would end up paying the same price as you would if you bought the dvd in the first place.

  4. Since the service doesn't exist anymore, I'm gonna say no. The only way that I could think to convert it is if you bought a player and had the service and stuff, then output the video through your capture card, and a de-macrovision if nessisary. Then convert the captured video. The way I see it is, if you can play it then you can convert it, if you can't play it you can't convert it.

  6. it's now defunct project and there is no way that I have heard to be able to play them since they are out of business .
