Hi, I have a Toshiba SD3109 dvd player, and I have been trying to get it to play vcd's. Finally, I found Princo Cd's that work. However the video comes out blocky. The sound is all right, if a little scratchy. It plays for a few seconds, and then stops, plays and stops. I use tmpgenc plus to encode and vcdeasy to burn. Can anyone help? Thanks!!

Hey bud, I hear ya.
I have a Toshiba SD-1300 and I really like it's performance, a real good player, except for one thing:
I have the same issues with VCD's as you. Everything works, menus, chapters, excellent quality ++ except that playback is for shit
It's driving me nuts, no combination of software or settings or media seems to aid it. One thing I know for sure, the best vcd's I have burned have no PBC or chapters, no stills, completely VCD compliant with just one mpeg1 stream mastered to vcd on a disc.
But they still make blox and stick on some frames.
I think we should share info on our successes.
