I am using CCE for encoding my dvd backups but when the encoding is done the files are too small so I am losing quality. I have not been able to find how to change this. For example I backed up full metal jacket and it was only 2 gigs. Any ideas would be nice

use DVD2SVCD (on the left under tools) as an all in one DVD to CVD conversion. Its all figured out for you (very intuitive program). For how to guides, you can seach for a member by the name of baker. He has a very good easy to follow VISUAL guide.

in CCE , bit rate - dont know what guide you are using but since your burning dvd -r backup (i assume) , and lets say your settings were 300 , 4000, 7000 VBR , and you only ended up with 2 gig file and know you can get 4.3 on a disk is to go with 300, 6000, 9000
those numbers may not be what you have but are an example ..
tmpgenc can be used to quickly find out the finished size at a certain bit rate .. then encode it in cce or tmpgenc or main concept , they all work fine ..
