  1. Alright.. NEWBIE in the house...
I downloaded a Divx AVI movie.
Ran TMPGEnc and converted it to MPG-2
AVI file size around 700MB/MPG-2 around 4.2 GB
Now how do I put this on a DVD+R??
    I use Nero 5.5.9.17.
    Do I have to 'De-Multiplex'??
I've read the posts on using DVD UDF 1.02 etc when burning with Nero...
Can I just transfer the .MPG file and burn - will that work??
Do I have to create AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders and files???
    HELP!!

  2. First you have to 'Author' the DVD to the DVD-video standard. Depending on how fancy you want to get in terms of menus etc there are many apps that you can use for this.

For a simple 'play only' movie with no menus or chapters you can use IfoEdit. Its free and there is a guide to doing this on this site under authoring in the left hand bar. If you want menus etc then choose from Spruce up (if you can get it), Ulead Movie factory or DVD Workshop. Sonic MyDvd or Dvdit, Dazzle Dvd complete or many others. It all depends on what you want, what you can afford and how much effort you want to go to.

Once you have authored you can then burn. Many authoring apps can burn direct or you can create a title set (VIDEO_TS folder etc) or a disk image, then burn with Nero, Vob or others.

    Hope this helps.
