  1. I have followed "Sefys All-In-One newbie DVD Ripping guide" in order to make a VideoCD from a DVD-Video. Everything works perfect, but only without subtitles. Where and how do I add subtitles? I use SmartRipper, DVD2AVI and TMPGEnc 2.59 (with SSRC and SCMPX). Everything is perfect, but no danish subtitles.

    Thanks in advance!

  2. to rip from a dvd try http://nickyguides.digital-digest.com/subtitles.htm

to put in an avi movie, try http://www.vcdhelp.com/forum/userguides/87065.php#1

there are many sites where you can search for subtitles in your language, try this list of sites: http://www.divx-digest.com/subtitles/index.html

but be careful because you have to search for a subtitle that syncs exactly with your video. if not, you have to sync it (which can take time). and sometimes the way the person translated the movie isn't very well... to edit the subtitles will take more time. if you want to make your own subtitles, try http://www.vcdhelp.com/subsvirtual.htm

    tale care.

  3. In the "All In One" Guide, there are actually several methods described to
create a VCD with subtitles, I believe you simply picked the wrong "path" or
one with tools you were familiar with.

Try using DVDx / FlaskMPEG and the VirtualDub frameserving to TMPGEnc
Those methods provide you with Subtitles on a VCD.
