  4. These are very common problems with all Dazzle's capturing produces, My solution after using DVCII for 12 months, solved too many problems one after another, is to throw it away and get a ADVC100......now I am making beautiful DVD everytime I capture......

I've had good results and almost no problems with my DVC2, but even so I would not buy one again just because Dazzle's "Moviestar" software is such a horrendous pile of steaming feces. I wouldn't be surprised if your problems stem from bugs in Moviestar.

If you're also having problems with your other USB devices you might want to try disconnecting every USB device you can, and also try switching around how you have them connected. Some USB devices don't work if they're plugged in to an external hub, others draw so much power that you have to use a self-powered external hub if you have any other devices plugged in. In theory they're supposed to tell you when they're not getting enough power, in practice sometimes they just flake out.

Stuff like that is part of why I stick with PS/2 for the mouse and keyboard on my PC. It's not like you're going to need to hot-swap them all the time....
