For some reason every backup that i make has pixelization specs every so often. is this normal. I am using a DRU500A and using VERBATIM -R and using Stomp record now max. I have burned at both 1 and 2x and run into the same problem.

question, what program did you use to rip ??did you tried to transcode the movie?? what program???
-
lol.. since u dont know what transcoding means...you probably didnt have to do it...which means if all u did was rip a dvd with smart ripper and then burn it to a dvd-r your problem probably is your dvd-r media.
u might need to try a different brand of dvdr media as some are really low quality..also try burning at 1x if u use faster speeds that might help.
but i think your problem is with the media..try something different and see how that works!!check out http://www.geocities.com/eatin_sammiches/sprucecreations.html to download additonal buttons and backgrounds for SPRUCE-UP menu creation
