  1. Don't know why, but there are some AVIs which work and others that do not when using TMPGEnc. I think there is something we are missing, and looks to be the key. When it works, VirtualDubs frameserving is great, but when not, it's annoying!
I've made the test also with CCE, and same results...
Just another issue which intrigates me: why are there some video files which are encodec waaaaaaaay faster than others with TMPGEnc? Could it be somehow related to the previous problem?

  2. I have a same problem, I find out that if you look at the properties and information you will find that it says unknown format.
Problem is that I don't know neither how to fix the problem.

    lgarmendia,
you're obviously talking about divX clips - that, why are they so
fast to encode from. Basically, it's like encoding those DVD rips.

Anyways, I don't know why exactly, but they DO encode faster than a
regular AVI capture from say, PIC or Huffy or DV.

Actually, I think it's because the de-compression process from a divX
is quicker than the PIC/Huffy/DV decompressing process.

  4. Yes, absolutely, I was talking about DivX clips. There are some clips which can be frameserved through VirtualDub, and others can't.

At the same time, if I just use TMPGenc without any other intermiate program, some DivX AVI files are encoded much more faster than others (some 4:1 ratio). And I'm using the same settings in both cases.

By the way, I've seen another post from you (vhelp), where you were using some PIC/Huffy codecs. Have you ever tried Aware's MotionWavelets? Works great!

    Thanx

morning, on a cold and windy day.

    lgarmendia,
Sorry for not posting sooner. I missed your adding (vhelp) in the
text - and got over looked.
