  1. this is my setup

    - XP PRO SP1
    - Avisynth 2.07
    - CCE 2.66
    - DVD2AVI 1.82

    ---------------------------------------------------

    i simply ripped a movie to m2v, made a d2v with DVD2AVI, then made a script:

    LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files\AviSynth2\plugins\MPEG2DEC.DLL")
    mpeg2source("D:\DVD_DUMP\spygame\temp\test.d2v")

    saved it as test.avs

when i tried to load it in CCE it says its only 240 frames long, which is too short...also when i tried playing it with WMP, it gives an error:

    "unrecognized exception, line 2"

anyone knows what to do ?? i really DONT want to use VFAPI, cause then CCE cant be fed YUV directly (which causes color differences, plus i dont have the speed advantage)

    please help me out here!

  2. What version of MPEG2DEC.DLL are you using and it is located in C:\Program Files\AviSynth2\plugins? When I first setup CCE and avisynth, I had problems due to the versions I was using. I grabbed the latest avisynth and mpeg2dec.dll and everything worked fine.

Also, are you using an AMD CPU?

    hi!

dont know the version (how can i check?) but its 184.320 bytes, dated 16 aug.it is lovated in the plugins dir yes.no AMD, i have the new P4 3.02ghz

anyway, i found out that it was the dvd2avi version i was using.....it was a modified version bla bla...based on the 1.76 original, which basically gave me a f*cked up d2v.i simply downloaded the 1.76+ version original...and guess what? it now works ! CCE accepts the avs no problemo.

    now on the encoding.

....i first had CCE 2.64, now 2.66....but i noticed that the 2.66 says only "simple settings" available when clicking on quality....i dont recall having that with the 2.64. also in 2.66 everything is re-ordered,less logical.

what version do you use ?
u know where to get latest mpeg2dec.dll ?
