I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but when I encode a VCD from a ReplayTV mpeg it ends up with a lot of artifacting. I'm really new to making VCD's and I'm just not sure why the quality doesn't compare to some VCD's that I've purchased from the store where there is little artifacting.
I use Womble to edit out the commercials and then re-encode the MPEG-2 file to VCD format, VCDEasy to make the dat file and then Nero to burn the VCD.
Is there a better way to do this?
