Venturer DVD STS-32AAs info...

Hey... does anyone know if the venturer STS-32AAs can play DVDr's and copied VCD's/CD's... I've already put on the region hack & i'm wondering if there's anything else I can do...

I just got a CD burner & want to know if my DVD player plays my copied CDs or if it's also MP3 compliant, as I saw a version of the same model with MP3 capability... Is this a secret function that i've not yet unlocked?

Any info on this thing would be well appreciated as I didn't get a manual with it.

I also have a venturer system. I have a dru500a DVD writer. I have tried Memorex DVD-RW(mp3 files), imation DVD+RW(mp3 files) TDK DVD-R's (mp3 files) and none of these work. I burned them with Nero 5.5.17 and CDcreator all worked on pc but not my Venturer STS32-M. I even took them to Circuit City(store) and tried them on a Sony and they did not work. However, they work in a PC with DVD drive.

CD-R's with VCD and MP3's all seem to work.

Question: Have you had any luck with running DVD with the Venturer?

It seems as though there are only a few brands of DVD-R that work in this machine, likewise CD-R's... I found that datasafe 24X disks seem to work for MP3's & VCD's, Likewise the 24 Speed Diskwrite CD-R's, Unfortunately there seems to be very little in the DVD-R market that the laser seems to pick up... You can hear the machine trying it's best to find the Track Zero, but after a while, it says "disk not found". Thinking in getting shot of this machine... The onboard Amp is the only thing its got going for it...
