  1. I downloaded a .bin file and the matching .cue file (the .bin file is 800 MB). It is supposed to be an image of a svcd tv episode. I tried loading the .cue file in Nero and in CDRWin and burning the image to cd, but since its an 800 MB file, it says that I need a medium that is larger and will hold more. I then tried to burn it to a blank dvd since the dvd holds more, and it told me that media wasnt supported for .cue and .bin files. So then i tried to extract it with WinISO, and i got it to extract. I got EXT, MPEG2, SEGMENT, and SVCD folders. I then tried to burn those files in Nero with the svcd option, which didnt work. So now i have no idea how to get this svcd episode on a cd so i can watch it in my dvd player. Can anyone help?

  2. Get VCDGear. It will allow you to convert the .bin/.cue file too mpeg in only a matter of a few minutes (depending on cpu speed). In some cases you can just rename the .cue file a .mpg file.

  3. Ok, i got VCDGear and tried it. When I loaded up the cue sheet and pressed the start key, it said "Could not locate MPEG stream," and it wouldnt extract anything. So that doesn't seem to work

  4. take the mpeg file and split it with tmpeg
    using "mpeg tools".
there is a guide for it somewhere in vcdhelp

after you split it, you can burn the 2 files into 2 cds using "nero".
im asuming you know how to use nero.

    just incase you dont:

start nero and close the nero wizzard.
press "help", and see that the nero wizzard is off.
    press "file", select "new.
select "svcd" and press the "new" tab on your right.
drag and drop the mpeg file into the left bottom corner of nero.
let nero check it for a minute.
press "file" and select "write cd"

if you need more help on how to split it , post a reply,
ill write a guide for you if you need one

  5. You should be able to burn a CUE/BIN image of a size around 800MB WITHOUT overburning...

Your image may just be a little larger (so a small amount of overburning may be needed).

If you are using Nero to burn CUE/BIN images (not recommended) then make sure that you have the latest update.

If you use CDRWin, how big does it say the image is? Is greater than 80min?

If the CUE/BIN image is dodgy in anyway, try "regenerating" it with the CUE/BIN regenerator tool in VCDImager Tools GUI: http://www.michaeltam.com/vcdimager_tools_gui.html The tool will also tell you exactly how big the image is at the end...

  6. You can extract the mpg file with vcdeasy>tools. If you still have problems with the file size...I demultiplex the audio and video, and reencode the audio only, at a lower birate. This usaually saves about 30 or so megs. Multiplex and burn.

  7. Thanks guys, i tried everything you guys said, and the only one that worked was weeyoo's sugestion with VCDEasy --> Tools. And when it ripped it, it wasn't too large of a file, i didn't even have to demultiplex it. Thanks.

  8. Using VCDXRIP to extract the MPEG file (or any other tool to do a similar thing) should be your last resort as you may well be losing any authored content on your VCD (e.g., menus, chapters, etc.)

You should try regenerating the CUE/BIN image as I detailed before as it will preserve everything that was on the original disc.
