    What is ac3?
    LAMA section here we go )

    I have a movie that has 5 channel sound according to vdub file info.
    is that it?
    Anyway vdub doesnt save the waw for me, what next? ( I'm converting from ntsc to pal so I need to separate the sound )

    ac3 is an audio compression used on dvds, and some vcd/svcd variations.

    if you want to keep the sound as it is - just tell virtualdub to make
    a direct strem copy and save it as whatever name you want.

    if you are looking to convert it to wav, then you will need a program called
    "haeadac-3ch".
    but befor you use "haeadac-3ch". you need another progam to check if
    the ac-3 file doesnt have errors in it, the program you will need is
    "ac-3 fix"
