More than 1 audio streams in an AVI-DV file

Hi to all. 8)

Is it possible to add several (at least one) hidden audio streams to an AVI-DV file with Premiere 6.5?

I know that you can multiplex as many audio files as you want, but what I am talking about is a scenario like this:

1) Capture a let's say 10-min DV footage from a mini-DV camera (I own a Sony TRV50) to my PC with a program like premiere

2) Copy the original audio of the footage as a second but hidden audio stream (existing but not hearable - muted).

3) Edit the first audio stream by adding some music, narration and audio effects etc.

4) Send the final clip back to the camera, and only hear the modified audio clip, when played back.

5) Have both the active first modified and the second hidden original audio streams available for further editing when I will re-capture the clip back to the PC.

Is this possible?

Haven't you ever run into the problem to keep the original sound seperated from the modified in the same tape? (of cource and you can store the original unedited footage in a drawer and make another tape but it's obvious that I want to save tapes when I can, ok )

I mean, lets suppose you want to edit the sound track of a footage (add a narration or music) and store it back in the same tape. Then, a year after, you want to use some scenes from it into a newer clip. How you will seperate and discard the old narration from the original sound, in order to re-use it again?

That's why I'm searching for a way to keep the original soundtrack with the modified one, in the same tape.

uh huh yep surprised, but just couldnt understand why, your explanation certainly cleard up though. As to how though I honestly have no idea.
