I’m not new to VCD’s or this forum but I’m unsure of what I would need VCDImager for.
Please take this as just a question by someone who is naïve.
My usual process is to take a DivX – convert it to xSVCD via TMPGEnc and burn it with NERO. (I'm not a DVD ripper usually)
What does VCDImager offer over NERO? Am I missing something really cool by just going with a simple tool like NERO?

Yes, you are missing a lot!
VCDImager 0.7.x allows the creation of complex PBC content (i.e., menus, non-sequential playlists, high res still images, more).
Of course, this doesn't come automatically, and you have to do some work to author this content...
