i have ripped 3 different dvd and after i burn them i test them in my dvd player. they have all played in full screen mode. i have not done any cropping or changing of format. the only thing i can think it could be is that there are no letterbox bars on my mpeg files. how can i fix this? i tried to find a solution in dvdsp but have not come across one. am i missing something?

If ripping is somehow causing the anamorphic flag to be stripped from your MPEG2 video, just run it through PulldownX. This software will reset the anamorphic flag so DVD Studio Pro will do the automatic letterbox on a 4:3 TV and full 16:9 on a widescreen TV.
