  1. I got the Universal BUSlink Internal DVD+RW/CD-RW Drive
Model: DVRW28R with Nero 5.5. The burner itself is working flawlessly. I've burnt CD-R and CD-RW with no trouble. However I have a problem reading my burnt DVDs from the DVD-RW.

When I burn DVD-RW, I using multi-session because I'm burning about 4.5 gig per disk (Verbabtim DVD-R 4.7 gb). I have Windows XP by the way. I set it up to do the multi-session and it burns just fine. But when I go to Windows Explorer to view the disk, not much is there. However, I can tell all of the data is there because it comes up in Nero Express (not in Nero, but the Express program) in gray. Plus, it's obvious just by looking at the disk that it's been burnt on. How can I access this information?

I have read everything in the book, have been reading a ton of message posts, and am reading information from the NERO website. I think it's probably a simple problem. Do I need to assign a serial number or a different ID to each disk? I'm really new at this so I don't quite know what I'm doing yet. I fully understand CD-R and CD-RW but I can't seem to figure how how to access more than one session of DVD. My computer flat out doesn't see it in Windows Explorer. It's definitely a software problem since the hardware is all working perfectly. I can only get the last session usually. It even applies to past disks too. For example, if I burn three DVD's, then the first two won't work right and the last one will only have the 1st session. I let it go through all of the finalizing steps. There have never been any error messages. I have checked my computer up and down for errors and there don't appear to be any. I'm only trying to access this information on the DVD burner itself. It's not like I'm trying to use it in my TV or in a different drive.

Can anyone help? I'd really appreciate it. I don't know if I've supplied enough information, but I'll be checking back frequently in case someone can offer any help. Thank you for reading this and I hope you have the answer! =)

You can't burn DVD-R with a DVD+RW recorder. You have to use DVD+R discs.
