I download this guide on how to make a dvd backup. I put the dvd into my dvd rom drive and went to dvd decrypter and selected "mode" and then "ISO" and then "read" the disc is a DVD-9 disc. I then went to "Mode" and then "File" and decrypted the dvd to my hard drive. The guide then says to reconvert using DVD2one. So I did that and opened the file on my hard drive and reconverted to a new file called VIDEO_TS which that went fine. Then the last function in the guide says to use a burning program and select the files and burn them. So I opened up Nero 5.5.10.7 and selected "CD-Rom ISO" and burned with my Sony DRU-500 dvd burner. That process worked fine. This disc is now not reconized in any of my dvd players? Any one have an idea what I did wrong or how to make this right?
Thanks

It says on the dvd2one web site to NOT use nero for burning after using their software.
Look at the bottom of this page under burning.

Altho, I use Nero express. -
I also have the Sony DRU-500A, but I don't bother with Nero. Use the CD-ROM included with the Sony drive and download a copy of RecordNow DX. I've been burning DVD's with that and I haven't had a compliant so far. I've heard nothing but problems with Nero and compatability.
When you burn your DVD choose the "Data" option. Load those folders "VIDEO_TS" and "AUDIO_TS" into the list to be burned and choose the appropriate speed of the DVD. If you know it will work in 2x or greater hard select it on the screen, otherwise hard select 1x. Don't use the "Max" option, because I've found that the software may select a speed that is too fast for the media. I usually use "Test, Record and Verify". It can take up to 160 minutes for one DVD, but I haven't had a problem. (Usually I set the computer up to burn overnight or while I'm at work.) Finally, under the "Options" screen, select under the DVD section: "Track at Once, Closed" and "UDF" without Joliet.
These are just the options I use, and I get DVD backups that work for an Apex and a Samsung player.
Good luck!Capt. P
