  1. ok here's my problem. i have a tv that supports only mono sound (one speaker). but i'm ripping onto my computer and when it comes out, it only comes out onto one speaker. is there a way to change it so it comes out of both speakers on my computer. any suggestions are welcome except for buying a new t.v.. oh yeah, i'm using a composite connection.

  2. You are "capturing" rather than "ripping" right?

When you capture your audio, set it so that it is saving a mono audio track rather than stereo.

  3. sorry i don't know all the tech terms. but i capture or rip (not sure exactly) my video and audio at the same time. my tv is mono sound, but i want it to output stereo sound when i capture or rip (not sure exactly) a vhs onto my computer. i'm using an ati all in wonder radeon 7500 video card, if it helps.

  4. I'm not familiar with your specific equipment, but the process is that same.

You should be able to capture the audio as MONO.

That way, when you play back the clip, the SAME audio will play through both stereo speakers..
