  1. I recently began transferring VHS video to my computer. The audio appears to be mono. What is the best way to get the audio to Stereo? I just want to hear sound out of both speakers when I put these on a DVD.

You shouldn't have to do anything... the DVD player will most likely take care of that for you. Burn a test disc and see if it works in your DVD player.

    That's the short answer.

The long answer involves demuxing the audio from the video file you have on your computer, possibly converting it, adding a channel to it, then remuxing it before you make a DVD out of it.

  3. Use a y adapter on the mono audio output from the VCR.

Some devices will automatically route mono input to both channels internally if you plug the cable into the correct side (usually right).
