divx vid probs

ive downloaded several movies from kazaa(divx .avi) and im getting hissing or static noice while the movie is playing on my pc. its not really a big deal but im wondering if this is normal.
also, when trying to burn the file, as data, just to clear up space on my drive, on nero 5.9 and on cd creator 4, the files are too big, is there a way to get them onto a cd? i use 80min cdr's to burn to.
and after all this is done(after converting to mpeg), will that hissing noise still be on the file? just wondering b-cuz i have other movies that dont have this noise on them

depends on the sie of the file, though you could cut the movie in half with tmpgenc to allow you to fit onto 2cd's
