Do you get an eror message when this happens? I did and it led me right to the file I was missing. msvcr40.dll (or something like that)

  3. was your directory or .vdr filename long??? it seems that tmpgenc has problem accepting the .vdr if the .vdr filename is too long or the directory the vobs are in is also too long...

    1) have you frameserved successfully with vdub before?

    2) also, the name of the directly where the vobs are stored cannot be very long either

  6. I had the same problem deinstall the handler if you are using 1.4.10 and download v 1.4.9 and install that handler. Then in the folder this is what fixed mine, go to the folder in vdub named avproxy and click on proxy on and you should be able to frameserve, and when you are done click on proxy off, i dont know why it has to be shut off but have heard it should be
    hope it works.

TNT is right, run proxyon reg after installing the handler.

It has to be shut off with proxyoff because if you don't, avi files that normally open in media player are routed to VDub, etc.. It messes up the avi file associations on the system and that affects every other program that depends or uses AVI's.

  8. I have made this action but no solution... it's perhaps we didn't used frameserve when the source file was mpg.

With a avi file like source no problem to framserv... the problem arrive only when source are mpeg file.

I have find a solution but it's complex. I re-encod the file in mpg2, use dvd2avi, vfpconv, virtualdub and tmpgenc.
