Sup all I just found out the new TMPGEnc 2.59 which is out today automatically loads AVI segments. Awesome! In most cases you no longer need to frameserve avi files.

gosh, that is good news. But, for those who need the filters from external
source ie, vdub, will most likely continue using those frameservers.
But, it's good to know that this feature works, cuz, for DV video (from DV
home-movies via Lens) will not require frameserving, and since I use
windows 98 only, I am limited to the 4gig size. I use segmented captures.
So, for me (well, others too) this feature will in most cases, eliminate
frameserving. However, for accurate resize, either vdub or AVIsynth will
probably still be needed for this. Who knows. Anyways, good to know though.
Tanx for da tip.
