Sorry for the rudimentary question, but I have appended avi s several times w/ virtualdubmod and lately, even though it appears the segments are the same file type (just xvid), I get the error-2 message in vdmod saying the source image is not acceptable. Could I be having incompatible audio streams for vdubmod, or two that are different? What should I do to make a combined single avi?

    Thanks in advance

Check out what the AVI's actually are with GSpot or AVICodec

To append videos in VDM or VD, the clips have to be exactly the same formats. For example, if the video is 29.97001khz in one and the other is 29.97000khz, they likely won't append. Same with the audio.
