Hello everyone.
I have a VCD movie and I am trying to capture or copy some parts of the movie... say a 5 minute stretch somewhere in between. I want to copy
the clip and convert it into an avi or an mpeg before burning it.
My problem is that I dont know how to capture or copy the part I want - its in the middle of the movie - the VCD is a .DAT file and opens on Windows Media player.
Can someone please tell me how I can go about copying a certain part of a movie and making it into a clip in avi or mpeg format.
HELP!

Copy the dat to your hard drive, now rename it to "whatever.mpg" You can now use the merge and cut option in mpeg tools in TMPGEnc to cut out the portion of video you want.
