  1. I have installed different programs.
DVDComplete, MyDVD, Premier, Ligos LSX Encoder, PowerDVD, TMPGEnc and another codecs downloaded from internet.
When I make a movie (.m2v), just the video in TMPGEnc using a .d2v proyect from DVD2AVI, I don't know what codec is using TMPGEnc to encode the video or how to select which one to use.
Can anybody help me with this ?
I made some tests... When I made a movie and played it in Windows Media Player, watching the properties of the files, the codec showed was Main Concept...
After installing and uninstalling programs, now when I make a movie with TMPGEnc, the codec showed in WMP is Ligos.
When the movies I make are with Main Concept codec, everything works just fine when I watch the movie in my Home DVD Player.
But when I watch a movie in my DVD player and the codec was Ligos, it is pausing, and audio out of sync, etc.
Is there anyway to choose or tell TMPGEnc what encoder or codec to use ?
Or is there any way to uninstall all codecs in WinXP and install just the codecs I want ?
    Thanks

    gblanco,

the last time I read something about TMPG's codec (which version thing)
was a while ago, and from what I can tell (or better yet, deduce) is that
TMPG is using it's OWN mpeg-2 codec WITH-IN tmpg's *.exe

In TMPG v2.53, there are only 2 *.dll files, the P3xxx and P4xxx but
    nothing remotely MPEGxxx.DLL, etc.

So, the deducing of mine above, still stands, that TMPG's MPEG-1 and
    MPEG-2 are built-in to TMPG, code'wise.

    Hope that helps.

  3. Fire up TMPGenc. Under options. Open environment. Open VFAPI plug-in and up Direct Show priority to at least 4. Then give it another try.
