  1. I've searched the forums here and at Doom9, but I can't for the life of me find a similar case...

I'm trying to import MP2 files into DVDMaestro for use with low-quality streams (both MPEG-1/2). I haven't had any difficulty with the video streams, or actually importing the assets, but when I attempt to compile the project with the MP2 tracks, it tells me that a movie must have either a PCM or AC3 track. Has anyone had this problem?

  3. ...blah... so what's the point of supporting mp2, then?

  4. I just purchased a Pioneer DVR-104 DVD-R/RW burner...

Authored a DVD-R with only mp2 audio and 480x480 video using DVDMaestro (used DVDPatcher to import video properly)...
DVDMaestro had the same complaint as you received...

Played just fine on my Daewoo 5800 from SAM's Club and also
in my old Apex 600A with newer firmware...

If you actually burned the DVD-R and it didn't work in your
DVD player, then it must be your player...

    Hope that helped...
