Help with the audio

I have a divx movie I want to convert(Minority Report) and I did notice that the audio is very muffled and hissie. I s there any way to clean this up so it is not so bad? I already have the toolame plugin for tmpg is tere anything else i can try?

The video is fairly good but the audio is pretty awfull!

I have used goldwave with decent success for crappy audio on web downloads, there's some built in preset filters but for hiss I usually tinker with bandpass settings to attenuate the frequencies you want. Don't expect perfection, just expect to make it more watchable.
