    Hi, i got a dvd-divx version of pulp fiction. when i play it in media player, it says 1600 hours but is only 675 megs. i get sound but no picture.

    so i tried the avicodec, to see if i got the codec, to my supprise, the codec is on my system and checks out fine.

    anyone know the problem?

    Which codec, there are several version of the divx codec around. You may need divx 3.11, divx 4.xx, divx 5.xx or even the xvid codec.

    Or you may have a fake avi!

    I got every codec you can think, except for that Xvid codec you mentioned.
