Today my mum went and got me the Pioneer DV350 DVD player. I'd asked her to get the Dansai 1010 player because after reading on here I found out that it could play anything as well as be set to region-free and have macrovsion disabled. Anyways, after a lot of shouting I set about trying to see what the Pioneer was capable of doing. It plays everything okay as far as I know but when it came to backing up my DVD to VHS it would not work. I guess this is the macrovision kicking in. The picture kept scrolling etc but for some reason it managed to copy a music VCD to VHS tape. So I was wondering if there was a way to disable macrovision on the Pioneer 350 DVD player so as to backup DVDs. Please someone help me out coz then I know if I have to take it back and get a different DVD player for christmas.

Stick with it!, the Pioneer I mean, how you arrived at the Dansia over the Pioneer, beats me.
Your asking it to do something no other player can do, without hardware
assistance.
