    Hi,

    I want to deinterlace a 700Mb DV file in virtuadub. The trouble is that, uncompressed, it produces a 6Gb file and I simply don't have the disk space at present.

    What codec should I choose to compress the file back to DV i.e. get a 700Mb file as a deinterlaced file that can be reimported into Premiere 6 without compression artefacts?

    You can use the Panasonic DV codec in VD.
