  1. I have divx pro and installed lame mp3 encoder codecs but when i go into virtuadub none of those options show up. Its just the plain basic codecs. Is there any reason you could think of why this is happening? I had a codec pack, uninstalled it, installed some codecs individually and that didn't seem to help.

Did you restart VD? You would have to do that before new codecs show. Lame MP3 should be available when you select full processing on your audio stream. But Divx should show when you select 'Compression'. If not, you might try a program like RadLight Filter Manager or others that can give you codec information and maybe do some repairs. Codec packs can cause a lot of damage and may not uninstall cleanly.

I got radlight filter manager but what do i do with it? And yeah i went as far as rebooting the whole computer and virtuadub still just shows the basic codecs, like i never installed any encoders. The videos play fine in media player classic though.

The methods described in these threads have helped some people who had similar problems:

  5. Do you think it has something to do with the fact that windows 7 64bit is installed? I tried the stuff in those topics but had no "empty codecs" to delete so i guess it didn't work.

Why would using a 64 bit (problem 1) beta version (problem 2) have any impact on anything you would want to do ?

And why wouldn't you think to mention this in your first post ?

  7. LameACM on Vista64 (probably the same issues with Vista7):

The same solution will probably work for Divx.
