  1. Just curious if this is possible... I have 1 cd in bin/cue format that is 277mb and another cd that is only 353mb ... Just curious if it is possible to place two entirely different vcd bin/cues and to somehow combine the seperate movies onto one cd... as different chapters... not sure if this could be done by editing the bin with WinIso or such... figured I'd ask... thanks

  2. You won't be able to just "merge" them.

You will have to extract the media files from each disc / CUE/BIN image and then reauthor a NEW VCD with a VCD authoring / burning proggy (e.g., VCDEasy / VCDImager) or Nero.

Small chance you might run me through the steps required to make this happen?

  5. Let us assume that the two discs only contain ONE video track each and you want to create a new multitracked VCDs (with the two video tracks).

Use the CDXA2MPEG tool to convert the "DAT" file back to standard "MPEG".

Once that is done, start a new project with VCDEasy (or use the VCD wizard with Nero) and add the two MPEG files to the project.

    Burn your VCD!

You can do the above with VCDImager Tools GUI as well: http://www.vcdimager.org/guides/vcdimager_tools_gui.html

Click on CDXA2MPEG to use that tool.

Then click on VCDIMAGER to create your new VCD. It will produce a CUE/BIN image which you can burn with CDRDAO / VCDEasy, the newer versions of Nero, CDRWin and BlindWrite.

Doh didn't see the AVSEQ01 mpeg extracted with the xml file...
bin extraction tool worked fine for the first CD bin... Didn't work so hot on the 2nd bin... extracted a 4kb mpeg... ..

not working with CDXA2MPEG either... coming up with error "Cdxa2mpeg.exe" execution failed:

unknown chunk id [] encountered ( The file is not a MPEG file with Riff header [.dat file])

Unforutnately, this MUSIC01.DAT (290701312 in size) roughly 277mb is the only file of large size.... Weird thing iis it plays fine when mounted with daemon.. and watched with windvd.... Any ideas from this point?

Does being a Video CD 1.1 bin/mpeg etc have any bearing on why I can't extract the mpeg?

  7. Damn strange I tell you.... finally got it to work... but this is how... After the 2nd Cd wouldn't extract the bin via the VCDxRip tool (bin to mpeg/xml)... I took you advice to extract via dat... I didn't use Isobuster and opened the bin with WinIso then manually clicked on the dat file and dragged to desktop..
Then I tried to extract the mpeg via the CDXA2MPEG tool ... Unfortunately I kept getting that Riff header error... THough about it.. Figured the dat didn't extract right.. So I mounted the original cd bin with daemon.. the pointed the CDXA2MPEG tool to the mounted image dat file instead of extracting.... Tool ran fine off the mounted image... just not off the extracted dat file with WinIso.. strange... but figured it out at least..
Hope this helps someone who might be in a similar bind.. and thanks again for your help
