Hi all,
I am using the vcdhelps guide on making an svcd from divx using tmpg and virtualdub. Everything goes according to plan, I split the audio set tmpg up properly and then when I split the movie and burn it onto 2 cd's I test it in my dvd player and the sound is messed up. I went to the directory where I saved the .wav and I opened it in winamp, the file was only 15 minutes long, it seems as though whenever there was silence in the movie it didn't put that into the .wav file.
When I imported the avi into virtual dub It gave me an error about the index and then something about vbr audio, could this be the problem? I also tried getting the audio from AVItoWAV and I got the same problem.
So are there any other ways of trying to fix the audio or convert it to a format that doesn't cut out the silences?

When you save the WAV in Vdub do you:
File > Open > Movie.avi > Audio > Full Processing > Auidio > Conversion > 44100 (if making VCD) > Audio > Compression > No Compression > File > Save as WAV.
this will be a pretty big file (perhaps close to a gig).
Then use resulting WAV as Audio Source in TMPGE."Today is only yesterdays tomorrow"
