hi all i have all the tools needed to convert AVI to MPEG 1. my question is how do i find out what size my movie is (wide or full screen) so i can change it to what i want...widescreen. i have toyed with the settings in TEMPGEnc and don't want to waste a bunch of time and discs getting the right combinations to see the movie in widescreen
thank you

Just set it to wide screen and use re-writable cd's to check if you like it. anyway, if you open TMPG wizard and drop the video in, the details come up in "aspect ratio"

You can't change a full screen movie to widescreen without losing some of the picture. The correct setting in TMPG is Source aspect ratio 1:1(VGA) and either of the *Full screen(Keep aspect ratio)* settings for Video arrange method.
