What do you mean by rip a Divx? How is it encrypted/protected? is this a divx burned on a cd? normally ripping is reffered to ripping DVD's. If its a divx burned on a cd you should be able to drag off of the cd onto your HD.

Most DVDs are encrypted. And all rippers can deal with the encryption. 8)

Now I've put my glasses on! Encrypted DivX. I've never heard of such a thing.

  4. There are two versions of the DivX Player right now. The 1.x version can playback both encrypted and unencrypted DivX video files. (The DivX Showcase includes several files that are encrypted.) The 2.0 version will also be able to playback all of these files, but right now version 2.0 Alpha can only play back unencrypted files. If you encounter a file that requires the 1.x player, you can download the 1.x Player from our web site.
    --divx official website

version 1.x u need a login & password to watch the encrypted divx movie and its a rental divx movie.. the problem is that u have 3 days to watch it after that u have to rental it again if u want to watch it. are there any tool that unencrypt the protected divx? so that u can watch the divx movie anytime without limited day
