im having problems, some dvd's tend to stick towards the end, what usually happens is that the dvd will start skipping frames then turn off, it only happens on a few films but i would like to know how i can stop it altogether, i am using the same media.

  2. Here is something so obvious I didn't realise it for a long time. I was doing quite a few movies on one type of DVDR - some would work fine some would skip particularly on long movies towards the end. Then I struck on an idea.
To ensure there are no Read/Write errors on your copied DVDR try reading it back onto your harddisk with DVDDecryptor. What I found was that the Datasafe GEn3 media I was using was working only about 50% of the time - the longer the movie the more chance of errors.
I changed to Traxdata - so far had only about 5% of failures - these all happened on the same day and thus either a faulty batch of discs or possibly overheating the burner from working it too hard.

Hope this helps. Let me know the result of the disk you read back - were there any errors?
