  1. Ok,

I want to convert a WMV to AVI so I can take the audio off it... Unless there's an easier way to do this?! Please help its really pissing me off!

Also, when I make a VCD it won't play in my (PAL) PS2, is this just something with the PS2 or is it something to do with the way i'm writing my VCDs?

    Thanks In Adance!!

  2. Read the "How to" "Convert" guides on the left, all the info you need is there.

Refer loosely to the first item on the Convert page
"How to convert to VCD with TMPGEnc"
You will see that it includes "WMV to VCD"

    Make the following adjustments:
    1) drag the WMV file into TMPGEnc
    2) choose Stream Type ES Audio Only at the bottom left of TMPGEnc
    3) (optional) choose Setting. Change audio stream type to "MPEG-1 Audio Layer III" (ie. MP3)
    4) Start

This should output MP3 file with the audio content of the WMV.

My understanding is you need to chip your PS2 before it will play VCDs.
