Hello, I am new to this, and I have tried searching the postings but couldn't find an answer to the question I have. Hopefully, someone knows!! I do appreciate it!

I ripped both Spiderman discs using SmartRipper, however, I cannot play them on IFOEDIT. I keep getting "This disc is intended for play on non-modified Region 1 players. There is nothing wrong with this Region 1 disc. To assure playback, you should purchase or rent a disc designed for your region, as set forth below." and then there is a map of the world with the numbers pertaining to each region.

I tried using the Region Free button, but had no success. I am using IFOEDIT 0.932, and I set only Region 1 instead of them all, but it didn't work... I made copies of all the IFOs and BUPs so I don't modify the originals... so then I copied the originals back into the VIDEO_TS directory and tried region freeing it again in different ways... I keep getting that message... and it will not play on WINDVD or the other PC DVD player I have... any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!!

  2. Same issue that I'm seeing.. What's wierd, is this all worked before, so I don't have any idea what the issue is. Ican however make it play with PowerDvD after doing the region patch... Try using DVDcrpter and see what happens. Are you running XP and do u have SP1 installed ?

    Chow...

Yes I did... as I said, now I have solved that problem (you posted your post as I posted mine, so you didn't know lol). But I do thank you for reading up and wanting to help me out!

Now I need to solve that other problem I stated in the last post... either that, or I need someone who knows how to use VOBEDIT or documentation on it, so I can learn how to DEMUX properly (when I click ok to DEMUX, it just brings me back to the regular VOBEDIT screen and nothing happens!!)

    Thanks!!

  6. We posted together right down to the very second....

Anyways.... in regards to your second question about VobEdit. I never used that tool but you can use Smartripper to demux the movie into M2V (movie) and AC3 (audio) files.
