I tried playing an AVI (Dark Angel ep. 221 Freak Nation to be exact) and something prompted me to download the Microsoft Audio Codec. Of course I clicked accept, but then nothing happened.
I used a whole bunch of different programs to open it but there was still no sound, and VirtualDub said I would need the Microsoft Audio Codec.
I went to Microsoft's site and searched for it and there were no matches. Where can I find this codec then?

I've got a DivX AVI with no sound as well. I think i have all the common audio codecs but it still won't play sound. Is there any way to find out exactly what codec I need?

I tried that program and it said I had the necessary audo codecs installed, but NOT div3.
I have the newest DivX installed on my computer, so why would I need div3?
